So we will add to this section the experience and the techniques in finding jobs so that future students can pick up skills and training that’s going to help them in getting their dream jobs.
Some roles and skills are in high demand in Australia, and others less. So, the more you research, the more likely you are to understand where you fit in to the job market. Speak the lingo and learn about the culture, tailor your resume and cover letter. Be prepared to take step back. One of our student say "Accept that you might need to take a step back to get a foot in the door and gain the essential Australian experience. You may even need to do some voluntary work in the country to get the local experience and contacts that employers want". Await calls, texts, or emails from employers and make sure your responses are optimistic, polite and timely. During the interview, make sure you’re dressed appropriately and you’ve prepared yourself for it; some things you may want to express are what you’re looking forward to gaining, why you applied for this specific job and what you think you can contribute to the business.
